I look busty?

I had my 3rd fill up last week.
And was told today that I looked busty!

A longer post will be coming about what it feels like to have hit the year mark since my diagnosis and the details about fill-up #3.

Tax Time...

Mike and I are getting ready for our annual homage to see B, our tax guy, and I came across a receipt that I had to share as it truly made me laugh out loud.

On 3/10/08 I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and purchased a new hair dryer.
Who new that a few short months later I wouldn't have hair. Of course that is currently changing and while I am not at the hair dryer stage yet I know I will be there soon.

In addition to this little gem I also found a couple receipts for new bras... needless to say I didn't really get my monies worth out of those, however, I am excited to say that in a few months I will be ready to go shopping for them again.

Back from the filling station...

Happy Thursday.

I went in for my second fill-up yesterday. Dr. B continues to be very pleased with my progress thus far. He asked if I was compliant and refrained from pole dancing these last two weeks and was happy to hear that I continue to be a good patient and that I haven't started pole dancing.

The filling up process was a repeat of the first. Both sides accommodated 150 cc's. I feel like I have HUGE pecs now.

I had slight discomfort most of the day yesterday and a truly lousy night sleep as the discomfort level intensified and to be honest with you I have been so blessed to have such little pain that this threw me off. Taking Tylenol helped this morning and I will continue to do that this evening as well. The skin simply needs to stretch and let me tell you when I look down it is a whole new world.

Last weeks oncology visit prompted a few changes. One of them being that I have to get back into a light exercise schedule. So I am trying to walk on the treadmill. This simply has to be part of my daily routine -- like brushing my teeth... I just have to do it. I was told by Dr. M that he is not thrilled with the amount of weight I have gained since my November, December, January and February visits. There are reasons for the steady weight gain (between 4 - 5 pounds a month) -- being thrown head first into menopause, being on the Arimidex, not really exercising regularly, not to mention eating lots of good tasting food that is a bit high in the not so good for you category. I have always made pretty healthy choices but have started to cut back and I was able to put on a pair of jeans that didn't fit last week so yippee. I am not so concerned with how much I weigh it's just about being healthy and making sure that the breast cancer doesn't have an environment to come back to.

After my ONC visit I was started on Black Cohash and Fish Oil. And then a phone call late last week after my blood levels were all in, revealed that my Vitamin D levels were not even on the chart so I was told to begin taking an additional Vitamin D supplement. The supplements and vitamin boost should help ease the hot flashes which had gotten pretty intense. The exercise should help as well.

I am continually grateful and thankful to be where I now am.
