A New Day...

What a HUGE difference a few days make.

I went on the treadmill for a good solid thirty minutes this morning and could feel myself getting energized as each minute passed. It felt so great to be able to exercise today. I am definitely feeling tons and tons and tons better since my Chemo last week.

My mission today was to get my hair (what's left of it) buzzed. I was starting to feel like a plucked chicken and that was bothersome -- only to me but bothersome nonetheless.

A lot of folks that have paved the way before me have opted to shave their heads like Mr. Clean the first moment their hair begins to fall out.

Since my chemo literature says that "you may or may not lose all your hair"
I have been more reserved in my approach.

Mike, bless his heart, is constantly telling me that I look cute without hair. He certainly makes this journey a lot easier (that is a huge understatement) and has continued to keep me laughing. Thank G-d I have him as my partner in life.

So here is my latest look compliments of Sully my in house photographer. I am still losing my hair and that will continue until I am done with Chemo and all of the effects of Chemo have passed through my system. So who knows if I will end up looking like Mr. Clean -- for the moment I am happy with my new less plucked chicken like appearance and relishing the energy I have today!

I would say that you look like a sweet little baby. when my kids were born, one had hair, the other one, not so much. I want to think of this as the outwardly sign that you are starting new - your experience of cancer gives you wisdom, the expelling it out of your body allows you now to start over but with so much more to you. I adored you before, I going to freaking worship you now! with our economy is in the dumps, maybe we could all come over and rub your head for luck?

Treadmill work!!!! How great is that!!!... Onward and upward, as they say....

I think your hair-do is the perfect thing for that wretched California weather...cool is the only way to go....

Take care. We are thinking of you and believing in your healing powers...

Oh you look cute. I'm telling you, G is ready to come over at any time to give you your next cut. He does his twice a week. I think one of these photos needs to go in your strength book. It'll make you laugh forever.

I love the visuals in this last blog...the chicken is a lovely shade of pink...I always thought Mr Clean was a hottie (HA), but my favorite is YOU, no doubt about that!!! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!! That beauty seeps out of every inch of you!!! I am thrilled to hear about the treadmill work out!! After your next (AND LAST!!!) chemo, I expect you will be training with Adam for his next Ironman!!

LOVE YOU!

You know there is a picture of your family when you were a baby, Brad is wearing a blazer with an airplane on it (if I remember correctly) and you looking as cute as can be. You look like that baby! Your lucky you have such a nice shaped head! You still have your beautiful eyebrows too! We love you, Lis & the boys.
